WordPress Junior Developer

Engineering Full Time Lahore Office

About the role

We are hiring a WordPress Junior Developer to join our Lahore office. You will work hands-on with custom WordPress themes and plugins from day one, mentored by our founder (14+ years on WordPress) and the rest of the team.

This is a learning-first role. You will not be thrown at production work alone — you will pair-program, review code, and grow your skills on real client projects.

What you will do

  • Build sections of custom WordPress themes (PHP + Tailwind)
  • Help maintain and fix bugs in existing client sites
  • Write clean, readable code that follows WordPress coding standards
  • Participate in code reviews — both giving and receiving feedback
  • Document your work so the rest of the team can pick it up

Day-to-day tools

WordPress, PHP 8+, Tailwind CSS, vanilla JavaScript, Git, Local by Flywheel, VS Code or PHPStorm.

Requirements

Solid PHP basics — functions, arrays, conditionals, object-oriented basics
HTML5 and CSS3 — semantic markup, responsive layouts
JavaScript fundamentals — DOM manipulation, events, ES6 syntax
Comfortable using Git for version control
Clear written and spoken English — you will write commit messages and code reviews
Eagerness to learn and ask questions
Some WordPress experience — themes, plugins, or admin work (preferred)
Tailwind CSS or any utility-first CSS framework (preferred)
A small portfolio of personal projects on GitHub (preferred)
